why at 4:00 am it is the middle of the night
We spent a lovely 4th of July weekend in St. Simons Island. Now we are back, happy to see our brutus and toby.
So here goes my wisdom, every time we got somewhere we always beat ourselves up for taking the first flights out, what in the world is the difference. I'll tell you what the difference is... waking up at that awful hour of 4:ish am. You try to go to bed at a resonable hour but it just so happens that your body doesn't want to go to sleep and then most of the night you wake yourself up to make sure you haven't missed that alarm clock. So then what happens is that at 4pm this afternoon we would both love nothing more than going to sleep, but that is not how normal people are so eventually we will make it till eight o'clock tonight and then allow ourselves to fall asleep.
I personally love early morning flights, althought I still don't like getting up that early. Early morning flights ensure that I will either fall asleep through most of the flight, making the flight seem shorter or depending on the travel date it ensures that I have time for missed connections etc etc.
And I cannot believe airlines are still using the excuse of "we don't have the right tool/part to make the aircrafty leave on time" when does this stop being a reasonable excuse??
So off to slumberland we hope not to go yet, but I am sure if you call me after 8pm tonight you will get yelled at.
