The deer are back
So I am not kidding when I say I have made friends with the family of deer from a couple of weeks go. Ok, well maybe not friends but distant acquaintances.
About 2 weeks ago, I went out through the garage and was working on emptying water out of my post, when I heard a clank, clank behind me and I turn around and see the three little deer walking up our driveway and into the front yard. I followed them to the front yard and I am watching them play when I feel eyes staring at me and I turn to my left to see mama deer not even 10 feet away from me. I screamed, it was my sad reaction. I didn't move she didn't move, so I ran inside to watch from the safety of our kitchen window.
After that I had not seen them for a couple of weeks and thought I must have scared them away, when in reality mama deer scared me to death. Dave calls me to the front door yesterday morning, well to our surprise there they were, mama and only 2 little deer (I wonder what happened to the third one). So this time I ran for the camera and took some pictures. Yes, I will have to post them. We spent a good 10 minutes watching them take over our front yard and to our surprise they left but one little deer stayed behind, he couldn't figure out where to go. After watching him struggle for a few minutes Dave went out to show him the way. Can you do that?
Needless to say the deer got scared and jumped the fence.
So I think we have made some new friends in the neighborhood.
